A summery little bag for a beautiful sunny day

Hi everyone, hasn't it been the most beautiful day? My kitchen/lounge is almost finished. Yay I am sooo pleased. My hub has worked very hard and I'm very proud of him as it looks amazing. Of course my day isn't complete without some sewing. As I have so many orders I felt a bit guilty, so here is one I made for a lady who wanted something she could put lots of essentials in. So I hope you like it and if you want one just let me know. Keep enjoying the sunshine. Lots of love Jane xxxx

My bags are for sale @ Knit in shotton

My bags are for sale! I am very excited that my bags are for sale at Knit in Shotton, which is an amazing vintage shop. Helen the owner is great and she sells wool and patterns of course, but she also sells beautiful handcrafted items, one off vintage finds and so much more. Its a vintage, crafter, pressie finders dream. So if you are in Shotton, call in to Knit..... You won't be disappointed, and who knows you may buy one of my unique, handmade bags.

Hope you are having a great week and enjoying lots of sewing love Jane xx.

My weekend finds

Hi all, I have had my usual Saturday search in my local charity shops and thought I would share this week's treasures. I found this beautiful glass fish who is far more handsome in real life. He is very heavy and will happily reside in my bathroom. I also found this lovely china cup, saucer and side plate to go with all my others. Unfortunately at the moment they are all in a box in my daughter's bedroom as we are still working on the "breakthrough"from our dining room to the kitchen. The walls have been painted and the paper is going up. We chose a rather bold dark grey paper with silver trees on it which will go on the one wall. My house is a tip at the moment as every piece of downstairs furniture is all in the lounge. But it is going to look lovely when its done. Hope everyone has a good week and thank you for viewing my blog. Love jane xx

Falmouth charity shop finds

I thought I would share my charity shop finds from my recent visit to falmouth to visit my daughter Charlotte, who is studying graphic design at Falmouth and Exeter University. I love the little book, which in its time cost one shilling. It still has the iron on transfers inside. Its in perfect condition. I also bought a vintage pattern for a sausage dog and patchwork tortoise. I managed to find a bag of vintage cottons and last but not least an old tin. I took some pics and hope you like them, but I'm glad the pointy boobs have had their day, ha.

Tracey's jumper will live on.....

Hi all

My friend Tracey had a jumper, which she loved very much, but due to one thing and another, she didn't wear it any more.  So she asked me to make it into a bag for her, which I've done.  She also wanted the zip from the collar to be a feature so I've put it on the pocket.  Tracey loves it, I hope you do too!

Fab little 70's coffee set

I went on my usual charity shop trawl last Saturday and purchased this gorgeous retro coffee set. Isn't it just fab? My kitchen is totally upside down at the mo as we've knocked our kitchen through to our dining room. It's going to look great when done mixing modern with vintage. So I'm busy finding lots of cute things as well as sewing more bags to meet orders. I've still not put anything on my Etsy shop as I'm working flat out in between my real job, making bags. I have five on order plus Helen at my local vintage knit shop wants to sell them in her shop so better get going.

Back soon luv Jane xxx
